Rare Specimen Design is a graphic design studio specializing in photobooks, founded by designer and photographer Kevin Sweeney, and located in Austin, Texas. Our mission is to create rare specimens of design, objects worth keeping that transport stories across time and place.

We work collaboratively with small businesses, photographers, artists, and independent publishers to solve problems and tell unique stories using design, type, illustration, and photography.
